Storage Bay doors

One of my door's latch was not connecting with the post in the bay.  So I adjusted the latch on the door closer to the center so that it lined up perfectly and closed the door.  Perfect connection.  But now it will not open.  Apparently in moving the latch toward the center of the door, it resulted in the actuating arm to not pull the release on the latch.  One side releases but the adjusted side holds firm.  Can't crawl through, can't open one edge enough to access handle mechanism.  I've banged it, yanked it and hollered at it.  Any suggestions short of cutting out the handle release.

One needs to remove rubber seal across the bottom of the door best you can and use a thin tool to go up and release the latch. Best at night with a flashlight.

Gibby, I thought that was the answer.  My flat pry bar worked great after I pulled back the rubber molding and I was able to reach and actuate the release arm.  It just didn't release.  I could actuate the handle with my pry bar so I knew I had the right place but it just would not release.  Still have a door that won't open on the left side.  It's the second door back driver's side.  batteries and port side fuel tank.  thanks for the great idea.  It should have worked.

Sounds like the latch is in a bind.  Have someone push on the side of the door after you have your bar on the latch. When they push you push on the latch at the same time. This sometimes relieves the tension and you can get the latch to trip.  If the post is too far back it can cause the door latch to jam.  After you get the door open move the post more outboard then use the Foretravel bump to secure the door.
