Looks nice Mike. Do not forget to seal the grout regardless of wether it said on the container it has stain protection. You need 2 coats of it brushed on.

That looks beautiful. I would like to do that to mine soon. Just got back from a two month trip so I will need to take care of some other things first. Any tips on the installation ?

yes, forgot to mention that as anything porous needs it. Test a small area and let it dry to make sure what you are using does not stain. If you use a Custom product all should be ok. I have never had a problem with their products.

Tile came from a local tile place in Springfield, Mo.  Tips?  Make sure the wall surfaces are clean and roughly sanded.  I removed the old wall paper.  Rented a wet tile cutter, but also used the tile cutting bit for a Dremmel; dry cutting and smoothing edges with a belt sander.  That worked pretty good, although with a lot of dust.  There are alot of videos available on utube, and I learned abit from them.
My next task is the bathroom.

I have not done my FT but have done my backsplash at my home with travertine tile that I got at a place in Houston called "Floor and Decor".  They have a really large selection and competitive pricing.  I understand that they have other locations.  One could look up on internet and see if they have a locale near you.  Yours looks good Yetch!  Nice Job!
