Water leak at the driver's side slide out!

 :-( We have an 02 single slide and during the recent rainfall with the slide in the rug on the floor in the center got soaked.  There was no water on the sides or the ceiling at least not visible from the inside.  Upon inspection there are two stainless steel runners on the edges on the bottom of the slide.  There is an open slot on the bottom in the middle of the slide.  I wonder if I lost a stainless steel runner for the middle.  It looks like there is runner protecting the bladder or is this the slot cover that I think I may have lost.  Looking forward to everyone's thoughts.  Thanks

I don't think you're missing anything, as long as looking in that middle channel you see something like this:

Many years ago we had a similar issue with wet carpet.  In our case, it was the seal around the window in the slideout.  FOT repaired ours.  At the time, our coach was still under warranty so I don't have cost numbers:

Not very likely that source was the open channel in the underside of the slide exterior.

Not necessary even to assume that the slide was the source.

I've had similar center-of-floor puddling twice, both occuring when I was away from the coach for awhile.  Once the source was a pin hole leak in the water filter line under the kitchen sink.  Once the source was an overflowing toilet bowl - daughter was too timid releasing foot lever after flushing - small flow of water continued into bowl and overflowed it.

Hope your source is as simple to find and to fix.

I would remove the header and put the slide out and check and see if you can see light.  If you do you have your answer. It will not come in from underneath but on the side and on the top and it will roll down the slide to the low point.

I had a simular situation and it turned out to be the line to the refrigerator ice maker. It did not always leak (odd).  You can cut it off at the filter under the sink.  I also had MOT replace the rubber sweeper on top of the slide.  My slide underneath is the same as yours so you are not missing anything there from the info you posted.  I agree with others that the source may not be the slide.  DAN

Thanks Everybody You have given me a lot to investigate.  Hopefully in the next few days, I'll be able to locate the source.

I don't really know.  The work order says "air pressure and soap".  This was back in 2005 so it was at a time (that 4 letter word "work") when we'd drop the coach off at CampFT on a Sunday, then return on Friday afternoon.  I'm guessing some kind of blower to pressurize inside the coach and a sprayer with soap on the outside but one of the techs or James T. would be the best source for an explanation.
