Strange water leak

Our coach is a 2003, U295 and we have experienced a brief water leak from the front of the frame around the front ceiling mirror.  It has only happened twice this summer, but both times within a few hours of a rain.  We have experienced very little rain this summer.  See the attached photo for the location of the leak.  This pic was taken from the entryway looking up toward the mirror frame.  Here is the really strange thing.... it only lasts for about 5 minutes (even though it is still raining) or so and amounts to less than an ounce of water.  The last time it happened the rain continued for several days without a repeat of the leak.  It happened once while we were underway in a light rain and once after a rain while parked.  I looked in the area behind the TV and it was dry.  I checked the AC vent nearest the leak and it was dry.

Questions....

Has anyone else experienced something like this? 

Has anyone removed the frame around the mirror?  I'd like to do that when we get back to Tucson to see if I can find the leak.

We had a small leak and what I found was that the location where the sat. reciever coax was entering the coach had a very small hole.  I caulked that and have never had the issue again.

On our coach, the coax cables enter the coach and FOT has a small chrome housing that the cables feed into.  It's a curved housing with the back of it open to allow the cables to enter.  What would happen is I would slow down or stop and water would run from back to front and enter the small hole. 

Once I caulked everything, no more issues.

 Our's leaked through the light above the drivers seat.  I felt like I was being tortured by a single drop of water hitting me squarely on the forehead and dripping off my nose while driving.

Other places to check might be the air horn bases and the front clearance lights.  We had one of the lights leak, with the drips coming down the TV cabinet.

George,

I would not remove any interior trim.  Get on the roof and check everything up there.  The leak could be quite a-ways from where it's dripping.  Use a good caulk under the fittings not around the edge - that does not work for long. Long time ownership of boats make one an unwilling expert on leaks!

Something like that.  Happened only when underway in the rain, and in the same front/left location.  Caulking on everything attached to the roof at that location looked decent at first look.  Decided to pull a few screws to look deeper.  Found rusted screws at the fixture where satellite cable enters coach. Pulled all screws, cleaned it up, replaced with larger screws.  Filled screw holes and replaced old caulk with Permatex Ultra Grey.  No leaking since.  My guess is that the winds generated while underway were strong enough to tip the fixture just enough to allow some water to enter.

Thanks for all the input.  I will check the roof for leaks, especially where all the dish cables enter.  Thankfully there is no rain in the forecast on our way home to Tucson.

George, you coach is much newer than ours but I had an impossible to find, small and infrequent leak that turned out to be the Hadley Horn. Not the base but the cap at the back of the horn. There was a pinhole leak in the casket that only leaked when the wind blew a certain way and speed so it would come and go even in the same rain storm. I simply put a very small bead of clear caulk around the horn cap and no more leak. If nothing else works, give it a try.
