Changing out air gauge on dash

Has anyone ever had to change out a gauge & if so how did you access it? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. Gerry

Gerry, I have changed out several of the VDO gauges in my 93 Grand Villa. They were relatively easy but did require a bit of contortion to get the new ones back in. The whole dash lifts up on the Grand Villa. If you have a Unicoach it will be lots different.

It will help you get much better answers if you list the type of coach you have in the signature area in your profile.

Gerry,
I am not sure what the dash looks like on the 03.  You might want to post a pic.
I have changed out the VDO Tach in my 99 U270.  Not a major problem.  With mine  you had to seperate the dash face from the mounting surface behind it as the rim of the gauge is behind the dash face.  On mine you had probably either 10-12 nuts to remove.  along the top on the left and right is what I would call a strap that has to come off.  After that just the process of R&R.  Hope this is a help.  Oh, I recommend disconnect the battery.  Just a reminder.

Gerry,

I didn't realize before that you had an '03.  Dan Spoor went through an issue with his '03's dash air gauge and may have some insight.

On my '03 U-270, changing the dash gauges was simple - each has a screw-on retaining ring on the back side. I used a slip-ring oil filter wrench to get hold of it and break the ring loose.  The wires simply un-plug.
