AspenPilot update

Just a quick email to give an update on how things are progressing with the vandalism repairs.  As I stated in my last update, the mechanical damage was very limited.  The only outstanding issue is (was) that of the transmission retarder.  Being unable to find the bezel that holds the joystick in place, my insurance company decided to purchase the complete retarder kit (joystick and all wiring.)

New updates:

1) Today, Jennifer went to the upholstery shop to choose the fabric and leather for the chairs, sofa, and window valences.

2) All of the windows are in.  They look fabulous.

3) The crank-up satellite dish was replaced with an in-motion dome without my approval.  I wanted to know what the difference in price would be before I authorized the installation of ANY dome.  Since the company that installed the dome did not contact me before the installation, they agreed to absorb the cost of the dome.

All in all, I have been very satisfied with my insurance company, as well as the different shops that have been working on the coach.

Any progress on Who, did the damage? Was there any video surveillance at the storage facility?

It looks as if the coach will be ready in about three weeks.      The interior is mostly done with the exceptions of the blinds.  I saw the driver's chair last week, and it looked great!  All in all I am very happy with the repairs that have been done.  As for the police having any leads...none.  The storage facility where I kept my coach had no cameras..only TWO on-site caretakers (two separate families in different houses.)  To this day, I believe it was an inside job.  What's really disturbing is the fact that Colorado Springs has had a series (more than five) of RV break-ins occur at storage facilities and dealerships throughout the city during the past four months.  Each of the break-ins affected multiple RV's.  The facility where my parents keep their 5th wheel had a break-in during the first week of January...seven RV's were severely damaged.  Luckily, my parents were spared any damage.  Moving forward, I have arranged for storage at a local military base.
