Chasing air leaks

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of trying to find air leaks. From my own experience and what I have learned from everybody, they can be a real PITA and time consuming finding easily.  Has anyone had any experience with an ultrasonic leak detector?  Tracerline has introduced the TP9367 Marksman II TP-9367 | tracer for detecting air brake leaks, compressor air leaks, vacuum leaks, tire leaks, and many other uses.  At around $400 bucks it looks like a great weapon to add to our arsenal of diagnostic tools that would pay for itself the first couple of times you use it, especially when using in tight places such as under the dash or underneath.

Would appreciate any feedback if anyone knows about or has used one these type devices.

Jerry.

I have used dye detection systems during my automotive career and they cut diagnostic time by 80%. Looks like this would work well for "Air" issues.

Would be a great tool to add and carry along on our trips.

Have used them often. General plant use and very usefull for vacuum leaks on turbine condensers. WE even stocked in our tool room kids bubble blower.You should see what it looks like to have 10 machines running around all over a turbine blowing bubbles. and it works great to . But  $400 is  to much for me for something to store on board and maybe use sometime. A good test of the systems before each trip and if I ever have a leak on the road I can mix My own soup bubbles. Gam

Steal the kids bubble fluid, put it a spray bottle and go to work,I have used it for years in the commercial laundry repair.
