Hughes 50 Amp Autoformer

My coach came with a Hughes 50 Amp Autoformer. I didn't know what it was so the web came to my rescue, as always.

That thing is pricey at $544.13 at PPL and it's one of the few thing that work on this coach. I will very seldom stay at a RV park. So is it something I need?  My thought are no, someone else needs it.

What say you all.

It is only used when you have low voltage in an RV Park. If you don't use RV Parks than you wont need it.

I wouldn't sell it. You may find yourself in a state park on the 4th of July when the park is full and voltage is low. It will be great to have then.

I use mine about once or twice a year. Mostly in the summer when the power dips too low.  It is one of those things that makes summer camping much easier.
