Leaking filtered water faucet

The filtered water faucet, located beside the main water faucet in the kitchen is starting to leak. It doesn't matter if I hold the lever up or down, a small amount of water leaks out. I looked under the sink to see how to take the faucet off but there is hardly enough room to get my hand in there. So I assume it has to be disassembled from the top, but I can't see how that can be done. I'm sure a seal has to be replaced or the whole unit. Anybody have any advice?

I just had mine replaced. Picked one up at Home Depot. It is held on by a nut and gasket on the bottom under the sink. It was too tight for me to get up in there so I had someone else do it. Easy to do when you can reach and remove the nut. It can't be fixed and it is one of those things that need to be replace periodically when it leaks.

Throw it away and get a new one from a big box store, hard to get to the nut underneath.  Use a dremel tool and cut it off on top, cuts time in half to install anew one.

Since your coach is almost 10 years newer than mine, I don't know if you have a similar filtered water valve. But before you buy a new one you might want to try the following. when I last changed my under sink water filter a small piece of plastic from within the filter got caught in the valve mechanism and caused it to leak. All that was necessary we to unscrew the curved tube and shine a light down into the valve, with the water off open the valve and remove the particle with tweezers. You might want to try this first before going to all of the trouble of replacing the whole thing.

Thanks to all, I'll check to see if something is stuck in there first, if not I'll go buy a new one.

Greg, I have the same problem; an annoying drip. Here is a Youtube video that may be helpful. The faucet is not quite like mine though. I have not tried this yet, so can't say if it works. I do plan to try it, just haven't got a round "to it". :D  - Fixing a Leaking Standard Water Filter Faucet

To get at the nut you need a basin wrench.

Goodie! Another tool to buy. I probably should have gotten one years ago, but I had kids with flexible bodies and good eyes to help out. Now they are all grown and gone.
