Splendide and Magumn Inverter

I ran across some interesting stuff on my Trawler list this morning.
First, the start of a thread concerning problems with a Splendide 2100Xc washer / dryer and a new Magnum MS2000 (sine wave) inverter.

[RE-wrenches] Magnum MS4448AE Compatibility Question

Interesting for several reasons:
 () It reads to me that the inverter itself, while generating "cleaner than utility power" was allowing connected equipment to corrupt its output. Apparently the previous MS inverter ran the W/D just fine.
 () The list RE-wrenches (Renewal-Energy) looks like a great place for solar info.

 () I was also interested that folks were running W/D off inverters to begin with.  My dryer on the boat was 220 and I suspect that a RV's gray water tank gets full quickly (an advantage of a thru-hull on a boat). I then got outside the boat/RV box and realized that off-grid installations either had to or emulate Jack Reacher. :whistle:
 
The RE-wrenches post is very old (in relatively terms-2009) but the Trawlering one is todays.
This would suggest that the new sine-wave inverter might not solve ALL our electrical problems.
