Roof repair
Have a very small leak, found a few drops coming down the satellite coax from the roof. Inspected and found cracking at the caulk where the coax penetrates the roof. Also found three screws missing from the p-clips that secure the coax to the roof. The coax for the satellite penetrates the roof about 2" from the place where the compass cable penetrates the roof.
We don't use the satellite dome so I'm removing the cable. I've removed all of the p-clips. They seem to have been bedded in silicone. After removal, there is still some silicone residual on the roof. Should I repair the screw penetrations by replacing the screws and bedding them again in silicone? When I've cleared the cables and the caulk where the coax penetrates the roof, considering repairing the hole with a 4"x4" piece of eternabond. Better alternatives?
If it matters, the roof was painted by Xtreme, their gritty treatment.
