Slideout, generator engine

Boy what a day, drove from Indio to Bakersfield, arrived a nice orange grove RV park. Went to put slide out, bag deflated, pushed extend button, nothing happened. Went to turn engine on, build up air pressure, wouldn't turn over....
Plugged in, slide out went out, turned engine on, it fired up.
Yesterday, went to turn generator on, while unplugged, wouldn't start, invertor went through cylce, carbon minoxcide  detector beeped! Plugged in coach, generator fired up.
What could possibly be the problem....

Did you have your boost switch on.  IF so it sounds like your start  and house batteries are not working right.  Have they been replaced or are they original?

You have ghosts fooling with you... :D    Seriously though...How often do you use the coach?  Are you full time or part time?  You may have loose connections, poor grounding.  Check your battery terminals and grounds on both battery banks.

Could be low house battery voltage or problems with house battery wires. CO detector & generator starter are connected to house. When plugged in, battery charger supplies current to things connected to house batteries. When problem occurs measure house battery voltage.

House batteries have been replaced, not sure how old but look new, charge a little over 13 volts, engine batteries just over 12 volts.
Why would the slideout not extend?

Oh yes, boost was on and engine still didn't start.

Check your 12v cut off. Just a thought.

Every one is a symptom of low battery 12V, either real or a poor connection somewhere (current flows in a loop, so you need good connections to both power AND return).  The fact that plugging in resolved them would definitely make the batteries suspect.

I would start at the batteries.  Check the ground and the terminal connections. You have a low voltage problem.  THe boost switch is a 100 amp and does not have enough amps to start the coach alone.  The Slide on an 01 works off the chassis batteries and the generator is off the house battery. If you are having issues with both then I would look at them both and see that they all have tight connections and a good ground. I put a new ground stud on mine a couple years ago.  FT used a star washer and it has less contact then if you clean off the paint and put a tight big connection on it.

Everything looks fine, ground wires terminal connections. Maybe I should go to battery place and have them check everything. Thanks to everyone for your advice.
