Fresh Water Drain?

I was unable to get fresh water tank to drain with valve open(2000U295 36'). Does anyone have any ideas?

              Thanks,

If your drain is like mine and just a hose sticking thru the bottom of the basement floor, you might check to see if you have a mud dabber nest in the tube.  They will block the HWH level system bleed holes we have learned.  I have had them build nests and block gas welding nozzles tips left on the shelf in the garage.

Well, then is the valve handle really working?  Guess I would risk removing the supply side to the valve if possible.  Mine are crimped on I remember.  You might need to have a new Shark Bite connector to reinstall once the tank is empty.  But gravity should allow water to leave higher places to go to lower places.  I had to drain my tank to install the new water pump and was just able to clamp a hose to the tubing tail hanging down.  I park inside and did not want to fill up the building.  I installed the new pump with new Shark Bite connectors, and in hind sight and further reading on the forum should have installed a new tank shut off before the pump.

Dave I used a ziptie and some type of critter parts flushed out, go figure. Thanks again, Josh

Does that mean the tank is draining?

Zip tie to the rescue!  Now finish the job with duct tape over the tubing hole when it is drained.  A true Poortravel repair kit at work.
