DirecTV HD open satellite antenna

We have the Winegard DirecTV HD open dish with a 5 satellite LNB.  Recently DirecTV & Winegard have switched to a 3 satellite LNB. 

Since newer antennas are only using 3 satellites, I wondered what is on the 2 satellites that have been dropped.  Turns out, 5-LNB includes 99, 101, 103 where national HD channels & some locals are carried, and 110 which seems to not have much of anything and 119 which carries some Spanish language and some locals.  So the new 3 LNB will still work for most without 110 & 119.

For those who also need to receive spot beam local channels, it is important to determine that the desired local area is not carried on 119, if using a 3-LNB antenna. 

The new 3-LNB antenna also has an interesting new SWM technology that uses a single wire from roof antenna to all receivers and all tuners.  Non-SWM technology needs a separate wire to each tuner.
