Which way do I turn this darn valve?

Behind the U-line icemaker near the floor is a valve with heated antirfreeze flowing thru it when the engine is hot. One way the antifreeze goes to the dash heater. The opposite way the heat goes around the water heater. Which way is which??

I know I asked this before, but I have forgotten and can't find the note I wrote myself. I did put it in a safe place apparently!! This time I am going to put the info on a tag fastened to the valve!!

With the valve shut off coolant will not flow thru the water heater.  Close this valve in the winter when you want maximum flow of coolant thru the heater core.

Thank you Gary. I wrote it down and am giving it to the DW. I will also write another reminder and put it in the "handhole" behind the icemaker.

Sure seems strange there is no mention of this valve in my manual. There will be now!!!
