What's the difference?

A recent thread had a link to a 1993 U300 SE. Since we have a 1993 U300 I was curious about what makes a coach an SE. The pictures show a floorplan that is very much like ours, but there are some differences. Ours has a two-bowl stainless steel kitchen sink, and that one had a single bowl Corian (I prefer the two-bowl). Ours has a J-couch (I've been told that our couch was replaced in 98 or so) and that one has a straight couch and a cabinet where the J is. Ours has a joey bed in the basement, and that one doesn't. According to the plans on Barry's site, it looks like the SE versions got a unique floorplan that matches our coach. I don't see anyplace where there is even a reference to our coach being a U300 on the outside, but that other one had U300 SE on the sides at the rear.

So, before I ask the factory, how do I tell?

David,

Think it is a special edition with black decals. I saw one in Petaluma, CA a couple of years ago. They had all the options including AquaHot.

Here is a video of one. Has been repainted. 1993 Foretravel Unihome U300 Special Edition Detroit Diesel 300hp Class A

That's the one I was referring to. Perhaps the Special Edition signage was added when it was repainted. Interior layout is identical to ours. We don't have AquaHot, though. We also have a 4-burner stove.

I remember it looked like a regular U300 but the decals were black instead of red or green and it had SE or U300SE on the side. Looked stock otherwise.

Aquahot wasn't avail on Unihomes to my knowledge.

Special Edition models were a combined group of options at a higher MSRP. Later on there were "designer editions", "limited editions", etc.
