Water heater -- back in operation

Since acquiring the Coach last October, I had yet to test and tackle any of the LP equipment. The T-stat on the water heater was missing, and as I previously posted -- the original tank insulation was inadequate. I bought the following components, and was impressed with how quickly Makarios RV shipped them to me (3 days).

As pictured, the Tank Shroud needed to have an area cut-out on the back to accommodate the A.C. heating element panel, but fit well other than that.

•   Atwood Tank Shroud - 10 Gallon 91238 / 91239
•   Atwood 12VDC 140 Degree Thermostat / ECO Kit - Front Mount 91447

Taking Gary O's advice, and as long as I was in there I also applied aluminum tape over the existing strips on all my tanks, worked it in with the rounded-end of a screwdriver handle, snipped off the existing wire connections, spread the strands out in a fan pattern at the original mounting point and presto! -- all my tank sensors are reading on the Audit system now.

Thanks, Gary.

If I remember correctly long ago there were two different thermostats.  One higher temp.  I liked that one as the higher temp allowed two showers without running out of water so quickly.  Not as good if young kids use the water taps as the higher one came out realiy hot at times.

I liked the hotter water myself.

Michael,
Glad you got it up and running again. I too have been blessed by Gary's help in the past. He is a great asset to the Forum and the Foretravel community.
