Mud Daubers Problem in Leveling System

We have a 2001 U270. In 2003 we had a mud dauber problem with the coach which affected the leveling system. I remember that the FOT technician crawled under the front of the coach and poked the nests out with a small screwdriver. Unfortunately I couldn't see what he was doing.

Now suddenly the coach is slow to level even though the area (my carport) is nearly level and when holding the dump button only the rear of the coach lowers. As this appears to be mud dauber season (near Brenham, Texas) I assume that the problem has again occurred.

Anything that would help me to find the port/ports that dump the front of the coach will be appreciated.

The mud daubers like to plug up the exhuast ports on the front / rear six packs.  Here are a pictures of the front pack on our coach, its those exhaust ports that will need to be cleared.

Rob, Be aware that those exhaust ports may not be marked and can be hard to find.  I used an ice pick ( remember those ) to find the openings the cleaned them out with the tip of it.  Wear glasses, dauber dust in your eyes can be aggravating.

Mud Daubers  have another favorite spot to nest in, your Air Horns. Had a swarm come out and attack me yesterday while working on the front AC unit.

Actually I use ice picks a lot and have some other tools that would work too. One of my A/C's was making a lot of noise a couple of years ago. I found a huge mud dauber nest in the fan housing and the fan blades were hitting it. That's what you get for living in the south. Thanks again.

Many thanks to all, especially Steve.  His pictures were invaluable help.

We finally got a chance to work on the coach today. It took a while to find the ports which were blocked. After I was unsuccessful, my DW crawled under the back and found the exhaust hole(s) while I lowered the coach.  Then we both went under the front and found the same apparatus.  A light poke with a screwdriver and the dauber nests came out in my face. (I had goggles on). Leveling works like new again.

P.S.  So little stuff came out, we both wonder why the pressure of the exhaust did not blow them open????

I am hoping that you are aware of the potential for the coach to drop onto you while under the coach and had some kind of safety blocking in place to leave you enough room to survive a drop.
