His was probably a newer coach with more emissions system.

Yup, mileage varies by engine AND model year.  But basics are all engines call for annual change, irrespective of mileage.

Dan,
I know Monaco and others call for longer intervals between changes.  I take a different approach than I feel most do.  I send off a sample to find out the condition of the oil.  I test at around 6000 miles and use the results to determine next oil change.  There are alot of variables that effect change intervals.  I feel having the oil tested is the easiest way to determine correct change intervals.

Brett:  I don't suppose you will be at the "Good Sam's" National Rally in Atlanta in Oct.  We are making plans to go.  DAN

Detroit Diesel lets their two cycle engines go 100,000 miles between oil changes without specifying an annual oil change, only that the correct fuel, oil, and filters must be used... (please see attachment)

...sorry, forgot to mention you MUST change your oil filter at least every 25,000 miles ...but I've been driving over a year on this current oil change and I'll be lucky to put on 15,000 miles

If you read your manual Dan it will say 15K miles on your coach.  I had that on my ISC and my ISM.

15,000 miles a year is one thing, but 15,000 over three years is an entirely different pony.
