Battery cables

Planning to fit isolator to both battery banks , what gauge / size cable should I use ?

Looking back at previous threads regarding your problems with batteries, I expect you are planning to add disconnect switches to the negative posts of the batteries. Many do not require any cables. They attach to the battery, and the previously connected cables connect to the switch. Our coach remains connected to shore power, so we do not use disconnect switches. Folk with direct experience can offer advice regarding which disconnect switches work well.

The term "isolator" in "RV speak" generally refers to a device that uses diodes to allow the alternator to charge two sets of batteries while not allowing current to flow between the two sets of batteries.

Thanks , switch or disconnect is accurate  , I have found a marine switch I think will work , so looking to get correct size cables
