Duotherm A/C operation question.

Is it possible to run only one of our two roof A/C systems?

How do we use A/C if we only have 30 amps?

your one thermostat controls both units - there will be a small number set on the bottom of the display - you toggle between units and the unit that is blinking is the one that you are controlling.

use the mode switch to toggle the unit through it's modes until you have it turned off, then toggle to the other unit and set it to cool and the temp you like.

When we are on 30 amp, we like to run the front air conditioner, including at night (since the air is ducted, it goes to all areas of the coach), we partially close the front vents to push more air to the rear, and set the fan on High (vs. "auto") which evens out the temperatures in the bedroom. Others will run the rear air, since the temp sensor for the rear air is in the bedroom, and the front air is in the salon. the high fan running continuously masks the noise of the compressor cycling, plys running the front air its the nosie of the unit that much further forward

make sure the bathroom thermostat is all the way down if you have an aqua hot, as that is independent, and your aquahot could try to heat the bathroom while you are cooling the coach

Found the answer on Barry's web site. What a great help! That site could keep us from a lot of newbie screw-ups! (Or at least we'll know to go there after!) Thanks, Barry!
