Electric power cord reel

The electric power cord reel on my 06 Phenix decided to give me issues. When I pressed the button to recoil the cord all I got was a loud clicking noise.  Anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how I can reel in the cord?

I don't know if this is the same reel but take a look it may help.

Just a FYI for those with reel problems TDI does offer a gear kit now.  I emailed them and they responded that they have the kits available and for only $20.00.  Ordered one.

Update, I changed out the gear Friday evening.  Nothing too difficult, took about an hour.  Works like new again.
