Corian stove cover

Does anyone know whether or not corian stove covers are available anymore?  Maybe some one has one that they don't want anymore.  Where do you store it when stove is in use?  We're looking and wondering if it would be better than the fold up metal one from the previous stove that really doesn't fit well on the new one.  Thanks and have a great day  ----  Fritz

Being as its dangerous and illegal to have a cover over the propane stove Foretravel calls it a serving tray.

Propane flame in direct sunlight is almost invisible.

Corian is flammable BTW

So the hinged stainless steel cover on my magic Chef from the factory is also serving tray?

Bob, I gotta ask where this is coming from, since our '03 has a hinged Corian cover over the propane cooktop - which seems to be ubiquitous in coaches with propane cooktops and Corian counters.  I don't understand what you're saying about Corian covers - that are not hinged - being "illegal"?

That is what we have on top of the stove.  Sure cuts down on the noisy stove vibrations while going down the road.  And the cutting board is easier to deal with when traveling.  Got it long ago at CW.

Put the corian stove cover in storage in stick house , but it belongs with the coach should we ever decide to pass it along to someone.

Foretravel inc.  call mike grimes and ask for a stove cover.  He will say a "serving tray"

Legal liability.  I burned many a corian cut off piece in front of customers to show them its FLAMMABLE.

Remove flame it keeps burning.  Its has or is oil.

Be paranoid.

John and Cheryl  ----  Thanks for your generous offer of the stove cover, we plan to use it and just store it on the counter for now.  Thanks to others for the input on the flammability of these covers.  I guess that I put that in the same category as most flammable items in that you can torch most anything if if you aren't thinking about that aspect of the item.  To me, cleanliness of burners in furnaces and hot water heaters is a big item in this regard.  So let's be thinkers and not burn down our coaches!!  Thanks again and have a great day  ----  Fritz

In our old U225 there was no cover (or it was long gone when we got the coach) on the stove top.  I used a large wooden cutting board with 2 mini bungees to anchor it to the grills.  It gave me more counter space for snack prep while going down the road and also dampered vibration of the stove parts.  We always, of course, turned off the little pilot lite while driving.  I really like the wooden cover, Jimmy!!!  And I surely wish that I had my good, old Magic Chef stovetop, instead of this Gaggenau thing.
