Fantastic

We have a Fan-Tastic Vent 6600R with the 3 button 417RF remote.  We've been happy with its operation (the rain sensor/auto-close even works as it should).  However, during this past week the remote had to be within a foot of the vent to get the fan to respond.
After changing the batteries and 'reprogramming' the remote a few times to no avail, I called Fan-Tastic Vent and within minutes had instructions in my inbox on how to 'boost' the remote's signal.  The fix works so I've attached it in case any others run into the same problem. (A signal boost increases battery consumption somewhat.)
