Question about '87 Grand Villa for sale

I found an '87 36' Grand Villa for sale and have a question regarding one of the issues that the owner stated about the coach.  He said that the person that he bought it from told him that the toilet drains slowly to the street.  Would this likely be an issue with the black tank or more likely with the toilet (or plumbing in between)?  I know this is pure speculation with the amount of info that I've presented but I thought I'd see if this issue is one that anyone has already come across.

Present owner says that they never used water in the coach so never drained anything and can't confirm firsthand how other plumbing drains.  Unfortunately, I can't look at it first hand as it's not local to me.  I have a friend that can look at it in person, but what might I suggest he look for?

Black Tank is full of TP.

Toilet dumps directly into the black water tank, no piping there.  Sounds like a big messy pile up in the black tank.  You or someone may be able to determine the extent by trying to flush the tank with a wand and water hose.  Drain valve may not be opening all of the way.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

The fix for this problem is simple, the black water tank is located just ahead of the left rear duals.  Drill a 2" hole at the top of the tank. Open the  drain valve, hook up a garden hose to a  plant watering wand place through hole to break up mess.  When done plug the hole with a 2" Plumbers Test Plug.

Don't cut a hole, just use a garden hose with focused jet nozzle down the toilet.

Had this happen many times with trade in coaches that were parked for long periods with the black tank valve left open and the drain hooked up.

Used a half bottle of dawn dish washing detergent in the black tank and drove for a few hours.  Broke up the solids with a half tank of water.

Put some in the grey tank at the same time.

Separate from any tank valve issues.

Devin, My fix when the ugly TP pile appeared was to add detergent, drive it and then use the awning Rod to break up the pile.  Drive it again and then drain, had to do this twice to clear It.  In the future kept water in Black tank so s... could slosh around and keep near liquid.
Wife and two daughters, any other explanation needed ?

Thanks for all of the info/advice.  That makes perfect sense.  I'm having a friend take a look at it today or tomorrow so we'll see how that inspection goes.

Just drill the 2" hole, that's a lot easier than dragging a hose through the house.  This approach has worked very well for me.

I am sure that most of you already know this; but one real 'trick' to running your black water system in the best possible manner, is to not leave the valves open when hooked up in an RV park, or campground. Pressure is your friend, as is lots of liquid.

Let your tanks fill, then drain them as needed.

With the 2 inch hole underneath, Dont knock the plug in too hard, other wise it wont fall out draining your tank while driving,
