Water pressure

I use a water pressure regulator factory preset at 45 lbs, if I switch to an adjustable regulator how much pressure can I safely increase too without blowing something apart, I am looking to improve shower head pressure, any other ideas would be appreciated, 1994 Special Edition

Actually, there are TWO issues here.  One is PSI (which I would start by leaving the same).  The second, that you will improve quite a lot with a higher quality regulator is VOLUME.  See if more gallons per minute at the same PSI achieves what you want.

Is started having leakage at various connections above 50 psi with my coach. I use a whole house regulator set at 40 on my hose inlet.

They say that the Oxygenics The RV Showerhead is the cat's meow, but I can not review it for you cause I don't have one.  But everything I've read says that they work really well.

I have applauded the Oxygenics showerhead many times in the past.  It works great, feeling like you are using much more water.

When I first showered with the oxygenics I swore it used a lot more water then the old shower head. It doesn't but it sure feels that way.

Agree completely about the Oxygenics.  We love ours.  It can be throttled way down (for boondocking) to use very little water, but still feels like a lot.  And there are no small holes to get clogged with calcium deposits.

Has anyone considered installing a regular pressure tank in the system? I found one that will fit in the small space I have available and will hold at least a reasonable amount of water (7 gallons for $88) which is a lot more than the surge tank now in place. Operates at 36 psi and would seem adequate for most conservative uses (not the DWs long showers!).

In looking at the issue I also found a complete pump/pressure tank system that will fit in a small space--apparently used by mobile cleaning outfits but the $440 price was kind of a put-off.

Brett, Dave, what model shower head do you use? A fixed one or the one on hose?

My shower has a telephone shower head system, so I just replaced the head using the existing hose.

I installed a 9 gallon pressure tank in our fiver. Loved it. As we always run off the RV tank it was easy on the water pump. Have not found space to install one in our Foretravel but would really like to replace/augment the smalll OEM expansion tank.

I replaced the "telephone shower head" (great description... "Operator - send more hot...") with the Oxygenics.    Didn't like the hose and flow control that came with the Oxygenics, so I just reused the old ones.  Old flow control just screws onto the Oxygenics.
