Re: Flooring Choices Reply #27 – November 18, 2013, 06:50:39 pm Erniee,You are much more conversant in flooring products than I. But when we chose cork, I did a comparison with bamboo and ruled it out based on weight. It might be helpful to find a source of weight per sq ft for the various products, as many coaches just can't afford to gain weight.Brett Quote Selected
Re: Flooring Choices Reply #28 – November 18, 2013, 06:55:06 pm We used a high quality sheet vinyl I think it is an Armstrong product. The instaler did it with one piece (no seams). It looks like tile but it is warmer to the touch more forgiving than tile and very easy to keep clean. We are very pleased with it. It is also slip resistant. Quote Selected
Re: Flooring Choices Reply #29 – November 18, 2013, 09:35:16 pm Brett- one the one occasion that I was able to take up a full piece of 12"x12" piece of tile- it weighed at 5 pounds. That, to me, whatever coach you have is a tremendous amount of weight that could be better used for different gear, etcIn a coach, we could have from 60- 200 square feet. depending on the square footage of tile. Re: Flooring Choices Reply #30 – November 18, 2013, 10:43:54 pm We weighed our coach after switching from OEM carpet with some heavy OEM insulating materials to Mannington vinyl tile. The coach was marginally heavier with the vinyl tile. The difference was not enough to change inflation pressures for the tires. The difference may have been in tools and "stuff" rather than the floor. Quote Selected

Erniee,I agree, tile, granite, etc are a poor choice in a vehicle. One has to ignore physics to choose a product that heavy. Quote Selected
