Wheel size change from 2004 to 2005

When Foretravel changed from 275 to 295 tires in 2005 did the wheel width change?

 Does anyone have the wheel width for  2001-2004 and also for a 2005 wheel?  If not on hand, can you check your wheels and report back?

Any issues putting 295s on a 2001-2004 for clearance to wheel wells, and between rear duals?

 The previous owner of my Bluebird installed 295s, but when they aged out I returned to stock 275s as the wheel width is better suited to 275s.

We have a 2005 U320 and we use the 295 tires . Our wheels are  22.5 x 8.25.

Thank you Ellen.  On my Bluebird with factory supplied 275 tires, the wheels are 22.5 * 7.5.  I "assume" Foretravel might be the same.

According to our build component list for our 2003 U320 tag axle coach with 275's as OEM (275/80R22.5 tires), we have the following wheels

Alcoa Aluminum 883624 22.5 x 8.25 (6)
Southwest Wheel Steel 28408 22.5 x 8.25 (2)

Thanks Michelle.  That indicates that 295s are ok for replacement instead of the 275s as long as there is wheel well  and suspension clearance, and clearance between duals.  The wheel size supports the 295 tire.  If there is any concern about weight limits on corners (weight on tires) the 295 can safely handle more weight at any given tire pressure.

Dan,

There's been some discussion in the past where folks have gone to a 295 tire size, often because it's a more readily-available one.  I recall some comments about needing to watch interference with the front air bag mounts and/or steering arm when doing so.
