Manual conversion to Automatic girrard patio awning; 2001 U320

Anyone have the experience of converting the manual patio awning to the Girrard automatic patio awning?  an if so, were you able to use the original Foretravel factory awning material?

I replaced the manual awning with a Girard. I had tan awnings on the 320 and just pick Girard material that was close. Now the honey operates with a push of a button only negative is in a higher wind it will self retract sometimes without much of a breeze

Good news is my 90-year-old mom can operate it, bad news is sometimes when you needed it won't stay out.

Who did your conversion?  Also, is this an expensive conversion?

MOT did conversion. 6 coach bucks seven years ago. Xtreme or FT could do it too

The original FT awning material for our Zip Dee is Sunbrella.

We will be replacing our Zip-Zee automatic on our 02 as soon as possible with a manual.  Not worth the hassle or the money..
