First time I've ever seen one like it and I love the floor plan. I'd trade my '89 for the floor plan any day. I wonder how many had that set up?

The first Foretravel we looked at was a 1989 U280 with a 3208T and had the same floor plan. The side aisle reminded me of a European train. Good privacy if you have another couple on board.

I loved the double stainless bumpers. It had a couple of roof cracks but was nice other than that.

This one could be a winner with inside storage and a tarp outside. 88K is just about enough to keep it healthy.

First one I saw was a 1990 U300 side aisle at Lazydays. After spending time with the sales guy (who had given tours in Nac), I knew I would buy a Foretravel. Her told me to call David R. at MOT. Within 6 months we had a 93 U280.

Not many.  Four or five?  Cleo Dunlap had that SAI  coach in birch I sold him in 89.  Gave it to his daughter at 300k miles from what I heard. I did another one in verathaned wood for dr unsell.
I have an SAI.  I didn't think they were that rare.  Mine has a unique finish too - pickled walnut.
Easy to spot: it's the only floor plan with 4 full size windows on drivers side.

Benefits:
1.  Being able to go into the bathroom, shut the door, and still be able to let others get to the bedroom from kitchen and back and forth.
2.  Comfortable bath - most visitors comment on how roomy the bath is.
3.  Refrigerator is in the middle of the coach so the exterior drivers side looks real clean with only a single furnace blemishing the sidewalls (see pic).  High winds don't affect burner, the sun never heats the back of it in summer and the area stays much dryer.
4.  Refrigerator sits side to side (door facing windshield) and side to side is the critical direction for keeping level for frig.  So it's easier to keep level since all coaches have more leveling capacity side to side than front to back.

Downside:
1.  Front A/C never makes it to the bedroom area during sleep time and bathroom suffers from not getting any direct A/C air flow.
2.  Access to back of refrigerator is through the bathroom closet.  Have to pull everything out of bottom to remove a sealed back panel.
3.  There's a tunnel that takes up basement space against the water bay bulkhead.  Tunnel is the fresh air supply for refrigerator and travels from a screened hole in belly of coach to all the way to the roof where there is the standard refrigerator roof cap - seems to give good drafting for the fridge.
4.  Storage:  I think other floor plans provide more interior storage - just my opinion.

Photo is from a Motorcade brochure that was left in the coach notebooks.  I thought it was a nice photo.

It appeared as used quite a bit and not kept up, not good housekeeping ... It was all there but as far as i am concerned it required everything and there was some visible water damage in inside panels. I think they wanted 29K at the time, I didn't make an offer.
