Brake tech

Does anyone know where I can find a fair and competent Meritor mechanic in the middle Tennessee area? Or better yet know of a how to video to clean adjust and grease the brakes on our U280? Dont think they've ever been touched. 6 position retarder stops coach real well so rotors look great and plenty of pad left. Just want to know they're right as can be. Brakes are our friend!

Firetrucks were the other common application for the air disk brakes.  Might check with a couple of fire departments in your area.

Good advice. If it comes down to it, I have the Meritor parts and service manual with clear explanations on how to do correct maintenance. Sometimes, the master mechanic may moonlight on his day off.

Do it yourself. The hardest part is taking the wheel off!

That's quite correct. Once you read the PDF, you can see how EZ it is. I had forgotten but the manual is right here on the forum at: http://www.beamalarm.com/foretravel-links/PDF/brakes-maintenance-manual-mm4m.pdf

I have the parts manual with the part numbers.
