Generally, those things are, and they contain some "magic" ingredient to "improve cooling." I really don't see the point except to make profit by selling at a higher price and therefore making profit for the seller. What's the "magic" ingredient in "Arctic Freeze"?

I think it should work well (yes, compatible).  I think this is the stuff that they sell with the hose/adapter attached such that you just fit it on the A/C port and recharge the system.  If so, I have done it and it worked well for me.

Have been selling "Arctic Freeze" along with band instruments for kids when we stop in small towns in the mid-west. Class of '05. Now, if I hadn't met the librarian.  :D

Bill,
I lost a bit of refrigerant when I relocated a receiver dryer from one side of the frame tube to the other to install our extra storage compartment behind the rear wheel while at Xtreme. When we got to Tucson, I got a can of that stuff with the attached hose and gage. I didn't have my gage set with me, though I had a ton of tools with me. Too bad I didn't need the stuff while at your shop! Pretty sure you have a gage set... ;D I used it, but it was a pain due to the location of the valve and the shortness of the hose. It did work though... Before that the A/C was barely functional. Your valve may be in a better location. The stuff does come without the gage and hose though and I have 3 cans of it. I will get out the gage set and check out the system before we leave for Canada.
