Outside Rugs

I am looking to purchase an outside rug for our coach. Currently we do not use one.
What are the rug qualities I should be concerned about? I would also appreciate any vendor links.

We have a couple of 6x9 Camping World outdoor mats that we got on sale for $39.  They are probably polypropylene.  Water runs through them, you can hose them off when they get dirty (and they will), they dry off pretty quickly and are mold and mildew resistant and roll or fold into a pretty compact pack.

2-6x9s gives us arrangement options.

I also have an old 3x5 rug that rolls up that I use for crawling around next to and under the coach.

We have seen outdoor grass carpets used too.

We have had a piece of green indoor out door carpet since 1999, dries quick, rolls up nice and tite. Unless you stake it down the wind will blow it. Not fancy but works great.

The one we use most often is a 5' x 6' LL Bean Waterhog outdoor mat that we found at their outlet (it was a returned custom-order).  The texture cuts down significantly on the dirt, etc. we and the Posse bring into the coach.  The outdoor ones have tiny perforations so water drains through.  Even so, they aren't the best for grass, so we roll ours up unless we absolutely need it (and reseed the area of our site it covered when we leave at the end of our stay).  It wasn't cheap, but we use it as a patio rug at the S&B in the winter.

We use an 8x10 rug from the house. It is nice and soft on the bare feet and has nice deep colours in it. made in Turkey and adds that nice home feeling to the coach. I hose it off each year and dry it well before storing.

I gather you mean the regular plastic type mats as Walmart does not have this kind, they have mostly cheap junk. This one aint a Walmart item!! It is around 10 yrs old and if you want to buy it you can have it for $300.

When we camp in wilderness sites we take along a 20' x 8' wide piece of paper machinery web belting. It rolls up tight enough that I put a Folgers coffee can on each end and a bungee cord in the middle. The fabric is a hard permeable material that is used to convey the paper pulp across some vacuum chambers that suck the water thru the webbing. It is quite stiff, lays flat on the ground, dries quickly, cleans well, rolls up easily, is colored, and stores in the compartment behind our generator.

Also, it was FREE. Got it from a friend who gets some of this material when ever the paper making company deems it is time to replace their belting in order to reduce the chances of catastrophic failure.

We picked up our 9 x 12 at Camping World a number of years ago when we had our TT.  Folds up and rides in the back of the Jeep. So far so good.

Then again if it the closest place to where you want to go then you pay the freight and live by their rules.

Crazy Dave isn't it as they charge premium rates when most people are there? My way would be to charge more so it is quiet and you are only a few, instead of putting up with tons of people and their add on's .
