Securing a Residential Refrigerator

We just replaced our Dometic Refrigerator with a Samsung and thought we had the problem of securing it in place figured out until we got it in the space.  Unfortunately, there isn't any room in the back to reach in behind the unit and bracket the frig in place.  What have those of you who have replaced their units with a residential frig done to secure it.  Any and all ideas welcome at this point!!  Faith

We got ours level and square, then put long screws through the front feet. Then the problem was to secure the back. The solution was similar - a long screw through a metal brace. There wasn't much room to work, but Perry has good eyesight and a long arm.

We can reach down through the opening in the roof but it's a very tight squeeze.  We came up with the idea of putting a piece of angle aluminum  held down with double sided tape to the top of the refrigerator and attaching that with screws to a piece of wood installed on the roof of the opening.  We can attach the screws with a long handled screw driver from the front of the frig.  We will make shoes around the feet of the unit to secure the bottom from trying to move forward.  Thanks for the suggestions :)  Faith :-*

Front was screwed down. Back was too as well as wedges screwed in up top.

When I installed ours, I did exactly the same thing - attached a couple of 2" x 1/4" pieces of aluminum to the top of the fridge with 3M VHB tape, and then attached pieces of angle to fasten  to the inside of the vent (there's a steel collar under the fiberglass on the inside of the vent at the top.)

I put a 2' x 2' x 16 ga. piece of steel under the fridge and screwed that to the (reinforced) wood structure, then screwed the fridge feet to the steel.  It's not going anywhere.
