They changed it after getting complaints that you could not lift the wipers to clean under them at truck stops without a ladder. Also some people put tennis balls under the wipers to save the blades when they are parked for a long time.  Could not do that easily with top mounted wipers.

Must of been some vertically challenged owners... ;D  Seriously, I could see where it might be a problem for some but I don't use a ladder to clean under the wipers or to do the tennis ball thing.

I'm vertically challenged, and I carry a step stool for some things and an 8' step ladder for others. Washing the windshield requires the step ladder, and even then I can't quite get it all because of the slant.

The 88 was no problem to stand on bumper. The 280 is almost 10" (short legs) higher so broke down got a telescopic washer with squegee ^.^d

Spending my second night in the FOT parking lot on our new to us coach.  Several FT owners here for service have provided a wealth of knowledge on helping me become acclimated to all of the STUFF.  With all the buttons, switches and systems you would think I was going to the moon and all I'm doing is going home to Florida.

By the way, if you think it is hot in Florida come to Nac in Sept if you want to experience Hot.

New granddaughter prevented Jeannie from being able to join me on the maiden voyage, but she sure is with me in spirt.

The reason the salesmen never mentioned Foretravel when you were asking about better coaches to buy was he didn't have one to offer... Whatever is sitting on their lot is the best coach for that day..You did well by not listening to the man woman or talking parot or whatever it was reading the script.

Very nice coach!

My wife and I are just beginning our search and will be heading to Nacogdoches sometime in the near future. We hope to have the same luck as you finding a coach but we have plenty of time so shouldn't be an issue.

Before it gets too cold, head to Maine and check out Dean & Dee's coach that they have just listed here on the forum. I saw it before they took possession and it was gorgeous (we happened to be in Nac when they were on the way down to purchase). they have only added to it, and it is pristine and lovely and VERY well maintained!

Keep looking--especially here. Some of the best coaches, in terms of price and condition, are often right here! We found ours here, even though we are in Ohio and the coach was in Arizona. Everything about the transaction went flawlessly, and we really enjoyed the trip home in our "new to us" Foretravel!
