Allison/silvetleaf connection

My silverleaf not show the gear indicators and retarder temp.

Richardb said it used to work.

What does it take and where are the connections at the trans?

Get occasional "snake eyes" on the panel at the drivers left.

Overheat trans buzzer works as does the shift pad indicator itself.

Is this fixable by a normal owner?

Still the same problem as you were having last year or is this new?  Did you find anything last time?

Go ahead kick me when I'm down.  Haha

Where are the two connectors Brent mentions located on my 4060r trans?

"Always a good idea to to unplug the 2 gang plugs at the transmission ECM and firmly reconnect.  Same for the connection at the base of the shift pad."

Thanks

On the 3060R trans, the temp sensor wire is at the forward most end of the retarder near where the hoses attach. It is a single wire with an exposed crimp connecor on ours and could easily be making a spotty connection or even come off. Ours was covered in grime. I cleaned it and squeezed the connector a tad to make it pinch the sensor tab a bit better while down in John's pit. It is a good place for some dielectric to protect the conductivity because it is so exposed to road grime.

Bob,

Our transmission ECM is mounted under the carpeted kick panel by your left foot when you are seated in the drivers seat. It is mounted basically to the outside wall directly under the shift pad.

I meant the trans end.  I think?
