Generator belt

Does anyone know what the Gates/Dayco/Goodyear/NAPA belt number is for a 1999 Power Tech 10K (Isuzu engine) generator is. I can't seem to find any cross reference for the FT or Power Tech belt #.

I've been looking myself and actually bought a belt or two that turned out to not work.  I don't think there is a cross reference for it from my research.

The Isuzu belt is very short in height and very narrow compared to a normal v-belt and a conventional v-belt does not seat correctly in the pulleys.  Really wanted to use the Gates Green Stripe belt I bought which was the correct length but clearly doesn't fit correctly in the pulleys, off to Ebay it goes.

Bruce,

Here is the Isuzu dealer directory.  Try calling one?

Robert, We just changed belt and hoses on our Powertech Isuzu 8,000 watt genset:

Removed v-belt NAPA Premium XL 25-7320, wanted a little longer belt so bought NAPA XL 25-7325 $9.68.

New curved radiator hoses 1-1/4" ID, both need to be cut to size: Top hose NAPA 8247 $8.85.
Bottom hose NAPA 8150 $13.29.

Belleville hose clamps, NAPA 705-1504 $4.60 each.

Thanks for that info, Barry.  I'll have to try out that belt.

I had the hoses and the radiator changed out at a Powertech shop in Denver right after buying my FT since the radiator was leaking like a sieve on the drive home across the midwest.  100 hours later the radiator was leaking like a sieve again, only this time I built a separate mounting bracket for it.

I've got the valve adjustment to do this weekend and hopefully I will be done playing around with the genset for awhile.

To second Barry, I replaced the belt on my 8kw Powertech. The belt that was on it was a Gate 7325. It fit nicely and the adjuster sat halfway in travel.

Thanks for the confirmation that our choice for a longer Isuzu fan belt was already on your generator.
