Hi Stump
We redid our 90' floor with Congoleium Duracermic.  It is a glue down product that looks like tile, easy to work with and durable.  We used a water proof glue and a silicon caulk at the edges.  Looks really nice.

We tore out the carpet in our 91 GV and re-did the floor and platform that the toilet sits on.  We used a plank type vinyl.  This type of flooring uses a temp. sensitive glue that loosens for removal at a very low temp. and does not want to stay down if the flooring is above 85 deg.  When I removed the carpet I was surprised to find that there was loose carpeting covering the piping behind the toilet.  I built a wooden cover to hide the piping, there was no support for the carpeting.  It all turned out fine, just check the flooring back there as it may have gotten wet over the years and may show some dry-rot.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

I think that's what's in our 97 from new.

A bit over a year ago, we hired Ernie Ekberg in Weatherford, TX, to pull all the floor coverings in our coach and install Armstrong Adura tile. It is a high quality vinyl tile. It is installed with a cement for the purpose. Ernie used no grout and only used molding on the outside corners. We've been pleased with the results. The weight of coach changed very little going from OEM carpet/insulation to the vinyl tile.

New bathroom floor (question update)

Here is a link to my bathroom re-model I did last winter....for the sealant around the tub (and all the other areas) I used DAP clear flexible silicone sealant.  Good stuff that is easy to use.

When I redid our '89 GV I found the carpet behind the toilet also. I made a solid 3/4" tile covered board to replace the carpet. I had to cut an opening slightly larger than the back of the toilet, as the toilet actually goes a bit under the counter/cabinet face. Works well 'cause now it keeps the cat out and allows air circulation. There was an opening, about 4"x8" in the side of the sink cabinet that I covered with 1/4" wire mesh stapled in place to keep our cat out and yet allow air circulation. Rocket would open the tamborin door, climb into the cabinet, go thru the opening, and then squeeze out thru the carpet behind the toilet.
