Back in the FT Hunt

Hello Good People.  I visited this forum many months ago and we were close to pulling the FT trigger.  Then we discovered that my wife's sister was rapidly deteriorating, deep in financial trouble, with several significant health problems.  It has taken us more than 6 months to move her 650 miles to an Assisted Living Home close to us, correct her financial troubles, manage her medication, sell her stuff in the other city, and on and on and on.  We've had something to do for sister-in-law nearly every single day for countless months.  I can't describe the psychological costs to DW and myself.  Since my wife is the only person left to help, she felt we had to rescue sister-in-law.  As some of you probably know, this kind of ordeal can leave one with little energy or enthusiasm.  It certainly has left us drained and in need of Assisted Living!

At any rate, I returned to this forum a week or so ago and tried to catch up on some of the news.  In fact, I should have visited more often during the last months since recent visits have helped me to start the "FT Dream" once again.  At the end of day, I'm glad to be here and look forward to some RV experiences vicariously through the many members of the FT Forum.  In time, we may be able to join you on the road.

Glad to hear that you have a "little" time for your dream.  Welcome back.  We have gone through that sort of thing a number of times with different family relations and although it is important and has value, the process can leave one physically, mentally and sometimes financially weary.  Good luck and happy hunting.  Without dreams we are but rocks occupying space.  ;D

It's good to read that life is (at least somewhat) back to normal for you. Please keep participating here, at some point the "perfect" Foretravel for you just may appear!

We have been there as well. Right now in that space of unknown duration where there are no kids at home, no parents left to care for, and can be a little selfish with our time.

You will never regret what you have done for your sister in law. Gods best to you.

Welcome back, Ed!  It's good to see "Traxless" posting on the Forum again!  I was afraid you might have given up and "settled" for a SOB.  Glad to see you are still in the market.  Don't lose faith - the perfect coach (for you) is out there.  We're coming up on the season where some nice units might be hitting the market, so keep your eyes open.  I'll give you a shout if I see anything interesting.

Welcome back! We were told that it can take a year to find the right coach, but you have to be ready to jump when it comes along. Keep us posted on what you are looking for, and we'll keep you and your family in our prayers.

Everyone is right about the perfect coach being out there for you! Our '89 GV suddenly became available at a time and price that was perfect for our situation. Never heard of Foretravel until we owned one. Very happy with the quality and people's responses when they our coach.

It is true (in our case) that God looks out for people like me & the DW as we would never have thought of something like our coach being available at the time, at the right price, the right length, the right layout, the right condition, and in this northern market where the dealers have no idea of the quality of coach they are selling.
