Bose remote not turning sound on

I replaced batteries in remote checking to make sure that they were good ones. And still not getting the eye over TV to turn red. Any ideas were to go next? The rear tv has sound, so now I am really confused.

The Bose is RF not IR so that might be the issue why you are not seeing red.

One of the reasons I replaced my Bose was that kind of behavior.  I found unplugging the subwoofer (Acustimass unit) for a moment got it back working again.  Mine was under the kitchen counter, and I put a remote power switch where it plugged in under the sink, one of those remote switched extension cords the sell at Big Lots for Christmas trees.  That worked very nicely until I redid the whole entertainment system.

Thank you for the assistance. Unplugged and plug it back in and I have audio. Thought I was going to listen to the DW for the rest of the night.
