Xantrex Prosine Problems

(In Storage with shore power)  I went back to old post and the guide posted my Michele but//// Here is what I have:  about 6 month old house batteries which were exact to originals.  Blinking warning red light.  Constant red light on fault.  Pressed reset to get code and the (0)10.00 and (7)200 blinks so the code should indicate low batteries.
but why??? >:( Also the biggy is that there is no shore green power light on.    What is going on ?? Put battery charger on house battery bank of three and it is charging. Inverter is quiet as a mouse.  Help please.

Track down the "no shore power green light" first.  No 120 VAC, no charging.

You can rule in/out everything from 120 VAC breaker box on by unplugging and running the generator.  Do symptoms persist or are they "cured"?

Exactly.  If all works when on generator, the shore power outlet, shore power cord or ATS are suspect.

I believe I have shore power as the two legs inside the coach are at 124 and 125 and I unplugged and the thump put it back on when I plugged back in.  The progressive unit says I have shore power to the coach.  The inverter is not running.  So I think you are right that I must figure out why no shore power to the inverter??  Any ideas//  I know nothing  DAN

Perhaps there is a breaker somewhere for the inverter?????and it is tripped.  Got to be under the front of the bed will ck tomorrow. After unplugging I will start the gen to see if shore power comes in from that point. All the 24 volt systems work.  Not getting power to the inverter has to be the problem as there has been no charging of the house batteries.  What else??  DAN

I take it you have Warning LED (2) and then the 10.00 (0) and 200 (7), so error 207.

From the Xantrex Prosine 2.5 manual in the Files section:

207

Internal DC Bus voltage is low in invert mode.

Possible cause 1. Temporary condition caused by low battery voltage in conjunction with an overload condition.

Solution to above:  Check if battery is OK (see error code 002, which basically says to check the batteries themselves, the cables, the connections). Disconnect AC and DC power to the Prosine.  Reconnect DC and AC power after 15 minutes. If the problem persists, contact Xantrex.

Possible cause 2. Internal Fault.

Solution to above: Record the error code and contact Xantrex.

Dan,

Really dumb question here, but looking at your Xantrex panel in the coach, there's a section for the charger with LEDs for Charge/Standby/Ready/Equalize and an On/Off button.

What LED is lit and what happens when you hit the On/Off button on that section of the panel?  Is there the slightest possibility the charger was accidentally turned "OFF" at the panel (not the Inverter - that's a separate On/Off, but the charger)?  See image below, bottom right.

Also, is the Shore power led lit on the panel (bottom left in image below)  ETA never mind.  I went back and read your previous post where you say that was lit.  So just let us know what the Charger portion of the panel indicates.

Mechelle:  pushed all the buttons and no response.  They read for a split second and go off.  Seems like the inverter may be bad//hope not.  Another expense. The power to the board is coming from the batteries if there is no shore power????  The code was the bottom left (0) 10.00 and on right column (7) 200 so if the code is 207 means internal DC Bus voltage is low in invert mode.  Tomorrow will Disconnect the house batteries and the shore power for 15 minutes.  See if any improvement also will looked for tripped breaker to inverter.  Tks for your help and Wolf 10 .  DAN

The more I think about what has been said I think this happened when I started the coach couple weeks ago.  Had to use boost switch and barely had enough power to turn the engine over but it did start after couple of efforts.  Thought at the time that the house batteries seemed weak and the crank batteries had nothing.  Put trickle charge on crank batteries and started right up yesterday but noticed the inverter problem.  Going to warehouse today after charger on house batteries overnight and will disconnect all power and start back to see if the prosine resets.  DAN

 ;D Tks to Brett Wolf and Michelle I am back in business.  The code 207 was correct.  Disconnected from shore power.  Started Gen and still no power (green light on inverter for shore).  Disconnected the house batteries.  Make sure you disconnect all three.  Went so far as to turn off the mains on the two panels in front of the bed.  Disconnected the cranking batteries.  Now no power to coach from anywhere.  Waited 20 minutes.  Put everything back together starting with the house batteries.  After all done.  Turned on inverter and yea ;D :D :P  All works like it should.  Tks to you guys for the help.
