Replace Inverter?

Good Morning!

I have the stock U320 Inverter. Is it also an Inverter/Charger?

I'm thinking of replacing it with an Xantrex 2000 watt pure sine inverter. And have AC in from a shore power when connected - and automagically switch to shore power.

So can I simpy remove the existing Inverter and install the Xantrex?

We replaced our Prosine 2.0 with a Magnum 2812 about a year ago.  I presume the Xantrex would be the same.  Fairly easy to do. Took about 2 hours to take out and replace.  A couple of Fofum members suggested I increase from 2kw to 2800kw so we did.  We sere able to use the communication line from the old Prosine with the Magnum for the interior controler display.  :D

I'm sure you'll get lots of input.
