Another kitchen addition

I have seen several threads about frustration with the 2 burner stoves and have accidentally found an addition that really works.
One of our old friends gave us a NuWave induction single burner cook top for Christmas.  I would never have bought one of these, but since it was a gift, I thought I would give it a try. I figured it was just another gadget.
Wow!  This thing really works!  It will take up to a 12" skillet, it heats VERY fast, it is digital thermostat controlled, and remains cool to the touch.  It does require pots with a magnetic core--- cast iron works, or you can get any induction rated pot.  The unit is light, easy to store, will plug into any outlet, can be used outdoors or on any counter top.  We absolutely love it.  In fact I'm thinking about getting a second one for the house.
We got two skillets and a large pot / steamer with ours and it will pretty much do it all.

We bought one of the induction hotplates last fall and then bought a set of pots/pans for it for use in the S&B. Last month the DW bought another set of pots/pans to keep in the coach so she didn't have to keep going back & forth. Next step another induction hotplate!
Absolutely great, especially for frying  eggs.

We liked ours so much, we pulled the stove and put in a drawer to store the new wave in and a skillet too.
