Dern. A new roof leak.

We used Moby as a hotel room over xmas, and found the stuff on the top shelf of the closet getting damp. The leak is coming through the headliner where a cable comes through right above the lefthand door. My plan is to have someone blow air at about 10PSI or so, and see if I can find out where it's coming in. I suspect the TV antenna cable. I also better pull some headliner in the closet and see how far the water spread. grr. I hate leaks.

Jay we had some leaks as well, ours were coming from the rear corner in the bed room. I had to reseal the seam were the end cap attaches to the main section. I must have worked, we have had rain snow and all kinds of weather here in Billings. this summer I plan on doing some major resealing on the roof componets. Good luck with your leak.

Jay, May want to R&R the sealant under the roof vent for the holding tanks. Only coax for TV antenna that I can recall comes up by the batwing upfront and by the satellite dish.

We have heard of putting air from a high volume low pressure blower, like used for kids bounce tents, into a window to pressurize the inside of the motorhome. Then put soapy water on outside seams, etc to find leaks.

Barry & Cindy (Barry or Cindy) has the right idea. Pressurize the coach then soap it, you'll find more leaks than sank the Titanic! You can usually get an old squirrel cage blower from a HVAC repair pretty cheap.

You can also purchase a very nice Stanley squirrel cage blower with two outlets for about $49 at Lowes or any of the big box stores. Quiet, sturdy build, and moves a lot of air with two or three speeds.

I have a blower with plenty of pressure differential to do the job, but it'll ha e to wait for above feezing and dry. Meanwhile this leak is gonna have to be dealt with hopefully tomorrow!

I have used ProFlex RV brushable sealant for my roof and sides.  I had a leak and first cleaned the coach, then brushed on over all the seams.  It is easy- did not have to scrape out the old caulking.  It remains flexible for a long time and seals great.

I even used it several years ago on my skylight in the shower- found a crack in it.  Brushed it with several coats- no more leak.

Be sure to use cheap brushes as they do not clean up well after use- I just throw it away.

Camping World, Amazon, etc.......sells it.  1 Quart can will be about $20 ish- cheap for what it does.

Good luck fixing the leak.

Our only roof leak so far was the cracking near where FT put the anti slip near the ladder.  That resulted in no water intrusion inside somehow.  The other one the middle a/c started leaking during a rain storm while we were driving.  Tightened it up a bit, dried it up and all is well.  No damage.

I did reseal almost every component using a pretty horrendous amount of sealant and eternabonded all of the more square openings.  I don't mess around with leaks, that stuff will ruin a coach.
