Window glass frame came off

While trying to open a reluctant bedroom window the frame on the glass edge came off with its rubber seal.  I have not been able to put it back on without it coming off again with the least bit of pull.  Has anyone had to deal with this?  The only thing I can think of is to "goober up" the track with an adhesive hoping it will hold.  If it doesn't, I will have a bigger problem.  Second issue and cause of the first is how to get the windows to slide easily.  I've cleaned out the tracks with a stiff brush and vac and tried using dry teflon and a dry graphite powder.  Neither works.  It would be nice to have windows that easily slid open.  Thanks

I had the same problem with the window opposite the sink. I used Loctite super glue gel. Now no problem  Be sure to center the handle top to bottom, you only get one chance.
