PTO Concerns on a 1999 (split from Re: Break down on I-10 )

Prior to '08 this step up was used for years in a dry (assembly grease only) configuration with no issues, then suddenly many failures in '08.

Reading the CC PTO doc it appears the PTO issue may or may not be an issue in my 1999 40ft U320.

It would appear a Cummins shop would be the best bet to decide. Right?

That would be my first choice or a good shop that works on Cummins engines.
