New Oxygenics Showerhead

For Barry Beam (or any knowledgeable lurker):

A couple of years ago, you posted a picture showing your new Oxygenics showerhead installed on your original height adjustment thingamajigger. I tried to emulate the Master, but I have been unable to convince my old showerhead to let go of it. How did you get it off?

Also, it looks like the new showerhead has the wrong kind of attachment mechanism to connect to it (although if I could get the old one apart, it may become obvious). The new set has a long hose with female connectors at each end. One goes to the original water supply connector, which does have male threads. The other attaches to the showerhead; the new one has male threads. Since I have not been able to get the old one apart, I cannot tell for sure, but the sliding up and down thingee does not seem to have the proper appendage for the new showerhead.

Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated. The best answer may earn a new codicil.  :)

Thanks,

Trent

Trent,
This is how I mounted ours.  Used original hose.

We did the same as Bill & Donna.  We have used two holders in two years, one plastic holder that we got from ace and most recently a metal one from Amazon.  Should have bought the metal one in the first place.  ;D
