I am sorry for your friend.  I had one who died who just went under his bus to look at something and the HWH system let go and the bus dropped on him.
I had my coach in the bay at MOT after they lifted it all the way up and were starting to block it have it go into ride height.  They had to replace the HWH box afterwards but I am glad they were not under it when it came down.  It taught me never to go under till it is blocked.

Sad news.  Two weeks ago I purchased from Northern Tools four rubber chocks to replace the 4x4 wooden chocks I had been using for ten years but did sort of an iffy job when on dirt or gravel.

One of the first "incidents" I had to contend with after purchasing our FT was a sudden explosion of a rear air bag when leveling in a friends driveway.  In addition to learning how to change an airbag, I learned to never trust this convenient feature of our coaches, of raising it for work underneath.  I always use my 10" 2x2 tubes....
