Defrost ducts

On my 91 GY defrost ducts that come through the dash on the passanger side has come loose and cracked along the back edge. I used some silicone along the flange and reattached it up to the bottom of the dash. tomorrow I will try and get a couple of small screws in to secure it. I am thinking of using a mastic to seal along the cracked edges and to really seal it to the underside of the dash so it wont leak and come loose again. Do any of you have any other ideas that or what I should use?

Mine actually popped loose from the underside of the dash. Air was blowing up as we went down the hiway. The one on the drivers side looks rough also so I'm going to seal them back on real good with some kind of sealer. I'm thinking that stuff you use on roof vent seams will work or maybe a rubberized roof sealer that i can brush on kind of thick.
