Samsung RSG257AARS, Ice maker in door,

Its about six months since the issure of frost in the ice chute, fouling the works.  It started again, so upon snooping around, found the spring for the trap door was missing and  was wide open, then noticed the spring laying in the cup holder, OH!!, now has anyone has the sperience of playing with the trap door spring ?  Also the refrig is almost 2 yrs old (I think). Any warranty etc ?
Before I go rooting around with a screwdriver trying to remove the assembly.

For temporary fix, stuffed two plastic shopping bags (WallyWorld), seems to stop 99% of the cold escaping.

Had the ice chute trap door replaced , now all back to normal PTL.
